It is with great excitement that G&K Camp is officially happening again in summer 2025. We have had this vision since 2021, and we are very happy we put our minds to it. Both with educational backgrounds, we are eager to continue to expand our education and spend our summer learning and exploring!
Mission
At G&K Camp, our mission is to create a nurturing and engaging environment where children can flourish, grow, and experience the joy of learning with other children their age. We are dedicated to fostering a love for children, teaching, and continuous learning while providing a fun summer camp experience that inspires curiosity, creativity, and personal development. Through a blend of educational activities, exploration of the natural world, and a culture of inclusivity and support, we aim to empower each child to discover their unique potential and build lifelong memories. Our commitment is to ensure that every child who joins us leaves with a deeper sense of self, a broader perspective on the world, and a heart filled with unforgettable moments from their time at our camp
Vision
Our shared dream is to create a fun summer camp that is not just a place where children come to play but a place where they come to grow, learn, and flourish. It will be a place where their imaginations will be set free, where they will discover the wonders of the natural world, and where they will engage in enriching educational activities. In this nurturing environment, children will be encouraged to explore their interests, express their creativity, and develop critical life skills.
Our summer camp will be a haven for children, a place where they will form lasting memories, make lifelong friends, and experience the pure joy of learning in an atmosphere filled with love and encouragement.
Meet the Team
Ms. Kaitlin
Teacher at Revel Academy
With an exciting blend of academic pursuits, global exploration and a dash of humor that keeps the world around me smiling, I have found a part of me in Ottawa these last 10 years.
My educational voyage started at Algonquin College, which then led me to complete my undergraduate degree at Guelph University. From there I went on to complete my Master's of Education and graduated in 2024. This journey has taken me deeper into pedagogies and the art of guiding our future generations.
My exploration of the world led me to the Czech Republic, where I expanded my cross-cultural perspective on education. Exploring comes in a variety of ways and having the opportunity to explore many places has been one of my hobbies.
When I'm not immersed in the world of academia, you'll find me cycling in Gatineau Park, teaching spin classes, camping, playing board games, spending time with my BIG family and learning fun facts.
I'm looking forward to year 3 of G&K Camp by Revel Academy.
Ms. Gabby
Special Education Teacher
Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, I moved to Ottawa in 2016 for my undergraduate studies in Child and Youth Studies, minoring in Sociology and Disability Studies. After completing my degree, I pursued a Bachelor of Education and am now a full-time teacher in the Ottawa Carleton District School Board in a Behaviour Managment Class.
During summers, I've been actively involved in childcare since 2016, working at a daycare and nannying for the same Ottawa family for several years. I also babysit part-time. Beyond the classroom, I find joy in various activities. I have a passion for crocheting, creating cozy and colorful pieces in my free time. Running is another activity I enjoy, allowing me to explore the beautiful landscapes around Ottawa while training for my half marathon!
My passion lies in fostering a positive and educational environment for children both inside and outside the classroom.
